WEEKLY DEVOTION

VISION SUNDAY 2026

Scripture Reading:

“And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion…’” Genesis 1:28 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:

Before God told humanity what to do, He told them who they were. Genesis begins not with survival, but with authority. God created us to live with purpose, responsibility, and influence — not fear or hesitation.

Dominion does not mean control or pride. It means stewarding what God has entrusted to us. Too often, we disqualify ourselves because we feel unready or unqualified. But God authorizes us before we ever feel prepared. He calls us as a Father, not as an employer.

As we step into 2026, God is reminding us that we don’t need a new calling — we need fresh courage. When we steward what’s in our hands faithfully, God multiplies it. When we take responsibility, He releases authority. This is the year to stop shrinking back and start taking ground.

Reflection Questions:

  1. In what areas of my life have I been living smaller than God intended?
  2. What has God already entrusted to me that I need to steward more faithfully?
  3. What fears or mindsets do I need to bring under God’s authority?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for calling and blessing me before I ever felt ready. Help me walk in the authority You have given me, not in fear or insecurity. Teach me to steward my life, my family, and my calling well. Give me courage to step into everything You have spoken over me. Amen.

Action Step:

Identify one area where God is asking you to take responsibility instead of retreating. Take one practical step this week to steward it with faith and obedience.

Family Declaration:

As a family, we declare: We are blessed and authorized by God. We will steward what He has entrusted to us. We will walk in courage, not fear. We will take ground and influence our world for His glory. In 2026, we walk boldly in dominion.
