“As soon as their feet touch the water, the flow of water will be cut off upstream, and the river will stand up like a wall.” Joshua 3:13 (NLT)
A new year doesn’t begin by accident — we step into it. Just like Israel standing at the edge of the Jordan, we enter a new season carrying both hope and uncertainty. The promise was ahead of them, but the water was still flowing.
God didn’t move the river first. He asked for movement before the miracle. The priests had to step in while the water was still there — carrying the Ark, the symbol of God’s presence. The breakthrough came after obedience.
As we step into this year, God isn’t asking us to understand everything. He’s asking us to trust Him, carry His presence, and move forward in faith. When we step with obedience and His presence, God makes a way — not just for us, but for those who come after us.
Lord, as I step into this new season, I choose faith over fear. Help me move even when the water hasn’t shifted yet. I want to carry Your presence, trust Your Word, and walk in obedience. Lead me into everything You have prepared for me. Amen.
Identify one area where you’ve been waiting for conditions to change. Take one intentional step of obedience this week — even if it feels uncomfortable.
As a family, we declare: We will step into what God has prepared. We carry His presence wherever we go. We will claim God’s promises boldly. Our obedience will leave a legacy for generations. This year, we step into it — in faith and confidence.
