RESURRECTION SUNDAY
“Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!’ ‘My Lord and my God!’ Thomas exclaimed.” John 20:24–28 (NLT)
Jesus rose in victory—but not without scars. He didn’t hide His wounds from Thomas. He invited him to see and touch them. Why? Because the scars told the story of what He had overcome. They were no longer signs of defeat, but proof of victory. You may carry wounds too—some visible, others buried deep. Pain, rejection, disappointment. But here’s the truth: your wounds don’t disqualify you; they verify your journey. What hurt you, tried to break you—but God can use it to build you.
Just like Jesus, your scars can testify. When surrendered to God, your wounds become weapons—proof that you’ve been through something, but you’re still standing. Let them remind the enemy that what didn’t kill you only made you stronger. The same Spirit that raised Christ lives in you—and He repurposes pain into purpose.
So rise today. Still scarred. Still standing. Still chosen.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You that You didn’t hide Your scars. Help me see my wounds not as shameful, but as stories of Your grace. Turn my pain into power and use my journey to bring freedom to others. Amen.
