"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:5-6 NIV
We think of the meek person as someone pathologically passive who cannot help letting others take advantage of him. But the biblical definition of meekness is to yield to God, to give way to God. Meekness is acceptance of God's Word and cooperation with his purposes.
Just as much as our physical bodies depends on food and water so much more does our spiritual bodies depends on righteousness. You can’t live physically without food and water, and you’ll never live spiritually without righteousness.
Declaration Prayer: Heavenly Father I declare that You have chosen me, called me to you, clothed me in Christ’s righteousness and bestowed upon me Your Holy Spirit. Father, as the deer pants after water, so my heart pants, after you; Please, give me hunger and thirst for righteousness, In Jesus' Name Amen
