WEEKLY DEVOTION

Scripture:

2 Corinthians 4:7 (NIV) “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

Devotional Thought:

God has placed something valuable inside each of us. He has given us gifts, experiences, testimonies, and the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. But these things were never meant to stay hidden.

In Mark 14, a woman brought an alabaster jar of expensive perfume to Jesus. She broke the jar and poured the perfume over Him. She didn't need to explain how valuable it was. Once it was poured out, its fragrance filled the room.

In the same way, God wants what He is doing inside us to become visible through our lives. Our kindness, generosity, forgiveness, faith, and willingness to serve can show others who Jesus is.

Not everyone will understand what we do for God. Some may question why we serve, give, or continue believing when life is difficult. But we don't need everyone's approval to live a life that pleases Jesus.

God isn't asking you to be somebody else. He's asking you to bring Him what you have and allow Him to use it.

Our goal isn't to make people admire us. It's to make Jesus known through the way we live. Let's not keep our faith hidden or limit our worship to Sunday. Let's allow the goodness of God to overflow into our homes, workplaces, relationships, and everyday lives.

1. What has God placed inside you that you could use to bless others?
2. Is there anything holding you back from serving God or putting your faith into action?
3. How can your words and actions help someone else experience the goodness of Jesus this week?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the gifts, abilities, and experiences You have placed in my life. Help me not to hide what You have given me. Give me the courage to serve, love, forgive, and obey You, even when others don't understand. Let my life reflect Your goodness and point people towards You. May everything I do bring honour to Your name. Amen.

Action Step:

Choose one practical way to put your faith on display today. Encourage someone, serve where there is a need, forgive someone, or share your testimony. Let someone experience the love of Jesus through you.

Family Declaration:

Today we declare that God has placed treasure within us. We will not hide our gifts, silence our faith, or hold back our love. We will serve with willing hearts, give generously, and show kindness to others. Our faith will be visible in our words, our choices, and our actions. We will live in such a way that others see Jesus through us. Our lives will put the goodness of God on display! In Jesus' name, Amen.
