WEEKLY DEVOTION

Scripture:

Psalm 34:1 (ESV) “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Devotional Thought:

It is easy to praise God when everything is going well. When the prayer is answered, the breakthrough comes, and the situation changes, praise seems natural.

But David says, “I will bless the Lord at all times.” That means our circumstances don't get to decide whether God is worthy of our praise.

Sometimes fear, anxiety, disappointment, or pressure can become so loud that they drown out the voice of faith. But praise gives faith its voice. When we praise God, we remind ourselves that God is still good, even when life isn't.

Nehemiah understood this when he was rebuilding the wall. His enemies tried to distract him and get him to come down, but he refused. He knew he had a work to finish. In the same way, we cannot allow every distraction, negative voice, or difficult circumstance to pull us away from what God has called us to do.

We don't praise because everything is perfect. We praise because Jesus is faithful. We remember His grace, His mercy, the cross, and everything He has already done.

So today, don't let the situation have the loudest voice. Unmute your praise.

Reflection Questions:

1. What has been louder in your life recently—fear and worry, or faith?
2. What is one thing you can praise God for, even though your situation hasn't changed?
3. What distraction do you need to stop giving your attention to?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to praise You at all times. When fear, disappointment, or pressure becomes loud, remind me that You are still good and still faithful. Help me keep my eyes on Jesus and not allow distractions to pull me away from what You have called me to do. Let my praise be louder than my problems and my faith stronger than my fears. Amen.

Action Step:

Today, take a few minutes to intentionally praise God. Thank Him for who He is, what He has done, and what He is still doing—even before you see the answer to your situation.

Family Declaration:

Today we declare that God is still good. God is still faithful. Our praise will not be controlled by our circumstances. We will not allow fear, anxiety, or distraction to silence our faith. We will keep our eyes on Jesus and continue building what He has called us to build. Our praise will be louder than our problems. We choose to UNMUTE OUR PRAISE! In Jesus' name, Amen.
