WEEKLY DEVOTION

Scripture:

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Devotional Thought:

We often want to know exactly where we're going before we're willing to move. We want the full plan, the perfect timing, and all the answers before we take the first step. But faith doesn't always work that way.

God doesn't always give us the whole map. Sometimes He simply gives us enough direction for the next step. And that's where trust comes in. If we could see everything ahead of us, we wouldn't need faith.

There may be things in your life right now that don't make sense. You may not understand why a door closed, why God hasn't answered a prayer yet, or what the next season will look like. But not having the full picture doesn't mean God isn't leading you.

Your responsibility isn't to know the entire route. Your responsibility is to trust the One who already knows the destination.

So don't allow uncertainty to keep you stuck. Pray, listen to God, and take the next step He puts in front of you. You may not have the whole map, but you have the One who knows the way.

Reflection Questions:

1. What area of my life am I struggling to trust God with?
2. Am I waiting for the whole plan before taking the next step?
3. What is one step God may be asking me to take right now?

Prayer:

Father, help me to trust You even when I cannot see the whole picture. I surrender my plans, my questions, and my uncertainty to You. Give me courage to take the next step when You lead me and patience when You ask me to wait. Help me remember that I don't need to know the entire journey because You already do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Action Step:

Identify one next step you've been putting off because you're unsure of what comes after it. Pray about it today and, if you know God is leading you, take that step in faith.

Family Declaration:

Today we declare: We trust the Lord with all our hearts. We will not be controlled by fear or uncertainty. We don't need to see the whole map because we trust the One who knows the way. God will direct our steps, and we will follow Him with courage, faith, and obedience. Amen.
