WEEKLY DEVOTION

PROTECT THE BRIDGE

Scripture:

“But we prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves.” Nehemiah 4:9 (NLT)

Devotion:

Pastor Callie reminded us this week that restoration doesn’t end with rebuilding — it continues with guarding. Just like Nehemiah’s builders stood with one hand on the wall and the other on a weapon, we’re called to protect the relationships we’ve repaired. Why? Because every restored bridge becomes a spiritual target.

The enemy hates unity. That’s why pressure often follows progress — through offense, miscommunication, or unspoken hurt. We must guard the vulnerable places and not ignore the warning signs. And when we don’t know how to protect what God helped us restore, we let praise lead. Because worship not only rebuilds — it also defends.

Declaration Prayer:

Lord, thank You for helping me rebuild what was broken. Help me guard every repaired relationship with grace, discernment, and praise. I declare that what You helped me restore, You will also help me protect. In Jesus’ name, amen.
