“This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14 NIV

I wonder how many of us consider ourselves to be “morning people, up at the break of dawn, bright eyed and bushy tailed, energized and ready to face the day. Our scripture today is a wake-up call with an equal amount of optimism and pep talk, spoken to the people of God who might have wanted to pull the covers back over their head. No matter what your 2024 looked like we all have been called by God to rise. 

Declaration Prayer: Father, I declare the grace to rise to fulfil your plans and purpose for my life. Lord, I pray that the vision which you have committed into my hands, I will rise to accomplish it. I declare that I will rise from every spiritual slumbering in Jesus’ name. Amen
